Now We're Getting Somewhere.

For the last three months I have been designing a new line of baby clothes.  I've learned a lot about custom patterns.  I've also learned, that I'm bad at math (well let's be honest that lesson isn't new, I've always been aware of my difficulty with measuring).  I was excited to tackle the challenge in spite of my shortcomings in the math department and all of my designs are a true labor of love.  The perfectionist in me thought about it round-the-clock, and in my humble opinion I've come out with some highly functional pieces babies are going to love to wear, and mommies will melt over.

I also bought a lemon machine to finish seams, and I would smash and smash it right now if it wasn't so valuable.  I've always preached and lectured annoyingly like the true crafting nerd that I am, about the difference between the best new machines and a good old fashioned Singer Slant-O-Matic, but a few dozen mangled dresses (victims of the Janome 1000cpx), have only increased my love for my dear old singers: Bessie 1, and Bessie 2.

We are excited as a family for my business to finally be taking off.  We're hoping that this means a sustainable future in which we will be able replace the furnace, roof, and hot water heater before we are freezing and waterless LOL.

I hope everyone likes what I've come up with! I am excited to present: http://www.littlelotusorganics.etsy.com
